I have a bride that has requested a stacked cake with "I LOVE YOU" written all over it in different languages. She said she wants it to look like one that she saw in a bride's book/mag, however, she can't remember where she saw it.

So...I am sending out a signal to all fellow CCers! Anyone have any idea where this cake could be?? Have any of you ever made a cake similar to this? Anyone have a photo?

Thanks in advance and happy baking! icon_biggrin.gif

Here's one. It doesn't have "i love you" but it does have words (names) written on it. Just thought it was sort of the same concept of writing and it's also very pretty.

Does it have to be that exact cake? What I mean is, there are websites that have the phrase I Love You written out in different languages. One that I saw has the phrases written in the characters the country uses for written language. How much freedom do you have on the design?

Thanks for your responses everyone!!!!

Realms....thanks for the link to that cake!!!!

Starra328.....can't wait to "browse" through brides.com - thank you!!

TanuvasaMama....I LOVE the look of that cake (color combos especially)! Thank you for the link!

Playingwithsugar.....She wants a cake "similar" to the cake that she saw, however, she doesn't remember exactly what it looked like. I am hoping that when she sees the two links to these cakes, she will be able to tell me what it is she does/doesn't like...and I can adapt to her taste. Thanks for the link to the "I LOVE YOU" in languages. That was my next step.....finding the phrases. Thanks for assisting me in that step!

THANK YOU AGAIN everyone!

If I can make a further suggestion - see if the client will allow you to do the lettering in chocolate transfers, which can then be glued onto the cake with buttercream or royal icing. It will be a lot easier to pipe characters that are foreign to you if you can do it at a normal position, not trying to pipe them onto the side of a cake, and using chocolate will make them easy to handle when it comes time to apply them.
