Just thought I would share a tip I learned at the Academy of Culinary Arts in Austin. I attended a demo and this has been one of the greatest tips I learned.
Go to wally world. In the fabric dept. find the plastic/vinyl rolls. I bought about a yard of the thicker milled clear plastic. When you roll out fondant or rolled BC put it between layers of this and Voila! no prints or marks! Just peel off and place on cake! NO fuss, no muss!
I store mine rolled up in one piece, but you can cut yours to the size/shape you need and it helps with measuring as well! If it get storage wrinkles just heat it with a blow dryer to flatten!

I hope this helps some of you guys....It was a life saver for me.

Cheers!!

Thanks for the tip. I have always used this for my roilled buttercream, but since I don't do fondant covered cakes it never occured to me to use it with fondant. A lot of times I get marks in my fondant decorations and have to redo them. Going to try it next time.

That's a great idea.
I went to the dollar store and bought vinyl placemats for my smaller projects. Works great.
