I made a heart tuxedo for my SIL's bridal shower tomorrow and I made candy clay lapels, She HATES fondant with a passion. I made chocolate candy clay and it says to roll it out in cocoa power to keep it from sticking. I did that, cut them and stuck it on my cake (covered in ganache). Well now I have cocoa powder spots and I can't get rid of them. This cake is already looking pretty sad, my ganache isn't very smooth and now this. It looks like a wrinkled Tux with dust on it. icon_cry.gif Any night owls out there who can help, or early birds? I have until lunch tomorrow but I know this will haunt my dreams.

Ok
Thought 1: the moisture will soak up the powder - it will be fine.
Thought 2: get a soft brush and gently brush the powder off.
Thought 3: Go to bed - don't worry about it - all will be well - work on if in the morning...........

I keep a large makeup brush close at hand for this kind of thing..... A little late for tonight, but a thought for the future.....

Thanks for the support. After I posted I realized I was over tired and unable to think properly. I had tried the water and brushing but nothing that's when I panicked. Got up this morning and rubbed a little crisco over the spots that remained. Most of them are gone and now my lapels are shiny. Thanks again
