I have to do a cake and she wants the numbers 75. I can't find any big enough that aren't overpriced. I am worried that after I cut it, it will crumble easier and get crumbs in the icing. I will probably cut it out of a 12 in. square pan, but one cake layer isn't thick enough. Do I need to do 2 layers? Any suggestions and tips are greatly appreciated. Thanks

It's easier to do cut-up cakes if they're frozen first. I also ice mine using an icer-tip so you don't get crumbs. Here's a cuting guide if you need it.

Hi. I had an order one time for "30". I ended up baking a sheet cake with pound cake...then I made a pattern and cut out the numbers. After that I ended up stacking the numbers on top of a sheet cake. It worked out great and the customer loved it! Using pound cake for the numbers made it easy to cut out! icon_wink.gif
