After thinking I must be nuts I purchased the AGBAY cake slicer. (www.agbayproducts.com) I had HAD it with the Wilton cake slicer, it did more harm than good. I just got in in the mail, and it is WONDERFUL! I torted several tiny cakes, normally they would slide all over the place as I make an attempt to slice them, but this thing is heavy and it was like a hot knife through butter! I was even able to tort the tort (does that make sense?) I had torted one layer and then A QUARTER OF AN INCH up, I sliced it again, no problem! BEAUTIFUL!

I don't remember who on the forum suggested the AGBAY, but THANK YOU!

Me, too icon_cry.gif

I have started my Christmas list--
New professional series KA mixer
now--this Agbay
Pink aprons with my logo
Pink chef jacket with my logo
and anything else I can think of.

Just had to replace the flat beater on my KA. The enamel started peeling off on the tip of the beater. You would think they would be more durable than that icon_biggrin.gif . I mean, come on--15 years!! And with DAILY use icon_lol.gif
ROFLMAO!!! No, just kidding--I love my KA--still going strong and I like the new flat beater--it's just a tad bigger that my old one.

It's always exciting when we find a new gadget we like. icon_biggrin.gif Glad to know I'm not the only one who has started their Christmas (and birthday) wish list. icon_redface.gificon_lol.gif I haven't seen this before, I'm going to have to go check their website. And the list keeps growing......

You know, I was all excited about this post until I went to the Agbay website and saw the price tag icon_eek.gif

So to be fair, I asked my DH and he said "don't you already have a cake leveler?" icon_rolleyes.gif

Guess it the future I should be more vocal in my frustrations when using the Wilton piano wire!!!!!

That was my feeling when I first saw the price tag too! I wondered what idiots would pay that much for a knife! So it was on my wishlist... waaaay at the bottom. After making my last cake I mentioned to my husband that someday I would get one and he said "good idea, you should get one" WHAT! Have aliens overtaken his body? So I took the opportunity and jumped on it.

So I got it, and it is WONDERFUL! Move this higher on your wish list. (Kitchenaid at the top, that is a MUST HAVE for cake decorating, if you don't have one...... I don't have enough words to describe how horrible it would be!) So if you have a kitchenaid then seriously you will love this. Once you use it once that price tag will melt away!
