Eating Little Fondant People

I love the way cakes sculptured cakes (i.e. Debbie Brown) look. I want to try making them, but with all the fondant, gumpaste, and other things just how practical and tasty are they to serve and eat? ![]()
Also, is it possible to save the little figures made out of fondant?
Your Title cracks me up... ![]()
I personaly have never made little people or any other creature but I want to, so I've been doing a lot of research. So far I have found that most people save them as opposed to eating them. On the other hand I have read that when the kiddos are around they somehow dissapear. ![]()

They are fine to eat, although I don't personally eat them as I don't like the idea of all the colourings (if you have seen my cakes you'll see the irony there! I love the colours, I just don't want to eat them!) When I've made cakes with fondant snails etc. on the kids have taken them off to save them. I personally don't care how practical my cakes are, I want the drama drama! They should look fab first and foremost and if they taste nice that's fine!
My 5 yr old LOVES to eat the "people" and anything else made out of the fondant. He really likes things made out of the mmf, but as most of you know mmf is not good for making things that have to stand up, because they do not hold up at all!!! So, for that I have to make some regular fondant, and he eats that pretty well too.
Ditto here - our 4 year old LOVES MMF and has even been known to sneak off with flowers, etc. that are drying!
Having little ones myself I just love that. I hope you've learned to make extras. I just made a cake with fondant figurines...we ate them...I had my three year old "helping" me by making her own things. She ended up eating them all, but at least it kept her busy.
i do the same.....my 3 think that MMF is playdoh u can eat!! :0) i started keeping out a little extra for them to play with and eat so that they didn't sneak and nibble on my creations! ~lol~
