I have a wedding cake I'm doin in 3 weeks and I was originally going to do ' diamond impression' on the fondant with the little pearls but I will have to order like $60.00 worth of just to get enough for a 6,10, and 14 inch cake. So I was wondering if i could come up with a design is it Luster Dust that u use and paint it on the fondant, I'm new to this whole fondant thing and would appreciate you all's help, thanks......

You can use luster dust to paint on your cake.

Here's a link to ShirleyW's excellent post on petal, luster, highlight and disco dusts. http://forum.cakecentral.com/cake-decorating-ftopict-54059.html

I hope you don't mean $60.00 for the fondant pearls. You can do those easy.

agree with the above. Fondant pearls are easy to make...time consuming, but can be done while watching TV or something.
