I pretty much do ONLY sheetcakes. My webpage has my prices on it. Click on it in my signature line.
I charge $20 for a 9x13, $25 for an 11x15 and so on. Alot of people never think about getting anything other than a sheet cake. But I have talked some into getting other styles. Hope I was helpful.
I didn't want to do sheet cakes and have successfully talked most clients into something else. However after a recent conversation about how much more convenient they are etc (clients words) I thought maybe I should reconsider. I just feel that most people are going to compare my sheet cake and the local chains sheet cakes and immediately take the cheap route. I thought that maybe they would feel they are getting something more special with a 2 layer cake and that helps to justify the higher price. Does that make any sense? I don't know what to think. I had not told anyone I wouldn't do them but I didn't put any on my website and I discourage them. Thanks for your replies. I guess I need to decide what is best for my business and stick with it. 
Recently, cupcake cakes have started becoming popular. I tried them a couple of times. I found they are more work than a sheetcake; so I figured I'd price them higher because I really don't want anybody to have me do them unless they REALLY want them. So, I decided a 40 cupcake cake would be $40 where a 12x18 which serves around the same is $30.
I charge:
$30 for a single layer 9x13 (quarter sheet) not torted/filled
$50 for a single layer 12x18 (half sheet) not torted/filled
Due to rising costs on practically everything caused by high gas prices, I think I will probably increase my prices at the end of this year,
to $35 for 9x13 and $60 for 12x18.
