Has anyone made a camo cake? I am supposed to make one soon and I'm wondering if fondant or buttercream would look best? Does anyone have any pics I could look at?

I think I read somewhere on this site, that someone took the camo colors and kneaded them into the fondant, but they did not knead it too much, just enough to get the colors mixed.
If you had airbrush colors, you could also use airbrushing.

I have looked all over for the camoflauge cake pics that I did and cannot find them anywhere! You know how it is, when you need it, you usually can't find it .. lol .... I used buttercream for mine .. I just took a spatula and spread the colors by each other in odd directions... using black, light brown and moss green ... I tried to not have 2 of the same colors touching each other.. after I spread the colors, I took a Viva papertowel and smoothed it .. worked out really well ... or at least the people I made the cakes for thought so icon_smile.gif I'd like to try it in fondant too.

what about something with a fondant that looks seamless on the cake? The best way i can describe this would be to look at the cake "A Perfect Fit" from the wilton 2005 yearbook. I think this would look really cute as a camo design!
