Hey guys,
Made the Toba Garrett choc. BC yesterday..wonderful stuff!! Obviously too much to handle for my hand mixer as it burned out both beaters. Had to dig out my heavy-duty mixer, clean it, transfer over the frosting and start beating again. Even that mixer started to make a funny smell!
Anyway, finally iced the cake and put it up for safe-keeping. Got up early this morning and was enjoying my morning cuppa..heard a crash and just knew what it was..my cake on the floor smashed to bits!!
Thank god I didn't spend alot of time decorating this sucker. I am in my 9th month of pregnancy and everything seems to be alot of work right now
I've got another cake in the oven now and this one is only going to get frosted..no decorations at all!

I've burned up a hand mixer myself, that's when I finally bought my KA, love that baby! What a bad way to start the morning...and 9 months pregnant to boot. Just put your feet up and enjoy the rest of the day!
