Hi Yall! I need lots of assistance. I love cookies, but need recipes and ideas PLEASE!!! Okay first I have made Antonia74 no fail sugar cookies and while the consistency was perfect I did not like the flavor at all. Mine tasted more like cookie dough. Is there a good recipe for sugar cookies and I would really love a chocolate chip one too(MY FAV.) Another thing what exactly is royal icing, and what does it taste like? And do you pipe like you would with buttercream icing. I have never seen it. There are some absolutely beautiful cookies and bouqets on here you all should be proud. I would love to get this good. Any suggestions would be great.

The No-Fail Sugar Cookie recipe is NOT mine, it's from www.kitchengifts.com. The icing recipe for decorating cookies is my recipe.

(Just wanted to clarify that. I don't want to take credit for someone else's recipes!) thumbs_up.gif

As for using the icing, check out the tutorial I did on this site for pointers:

I really like Wilton's Sugar Cookie. I was using that before I began using the No Fails. It's really good and you don't need to chill the dough either.

I am sorry if I offended you by any means Antonia74. I look at your work all the time and think your work is beautiful and perfect. I just always see your name with this and assumed it was yours and I do apologize. I am sure you get this alot. Thank you though for the other information anyhow!!

I have tried both for royal icing decorated sugar cookies and have found that the recipe from kitchengifts is better if you want the cookie to really hold its shape.

No offence at all! icon_biggrin.gif I just don't want anyone to think that I claim that recipe as my own creation!

And thanks for your compliment! icon_smile.gif

OMG prettycake- I love, love, love your calla cookies!! Did you ice them first or is it entirely fondant?

A dear friend of mine is getting married in October and she is usung callas in her bouquet and on the brides cake. For the grooms cake she wants a tile design and one of the tiles she picked was this one. I think I will make her some cookies like this for the rehearsal dinner- that is if you don't mind me usung your idea icon_biggrin.gif
