There is actually a very good tutorial o this site that takes you step by step in making cookies. They are not sour cream but they are very good.

You should read the article How to Bake and Decorate Cookies that is listed on the home page. Antonia74 authored it and it's an awesome tutorial.

Hello,
Now why don't they eat your cakes ? your cakes don't look
bad ? I love to make cookies too. Do some reading and then
experiment. I always use Fondant as my cookie icing..it's never messy and no waiting to dry..

Prettycake, I love the designs on these cookies too. Are the designs on the cookies made from all fondant?

PrettyCake - I'm wondering what you used to get the gold color on your icing for the cookies?

Thanks

Queenamy,
I use Super Gold Lustre dust.
I brush the design w/ Almond extract, then apply a LOT of lustre dust w/ a small paint brush.. Whatever dust that does not stick will just fall off . Then I shine them by "buffing" with a cotton ball (new and clean). I use Fondant mold for those medallion thingies. icon_smile.gif
