OK.......

I was doing a FBCT lastbnight for the first time......not to bad!, I have to say! anyway......I had to make a lot of different color icing which is a pain, because I never know how much exactly I will need to do that part and I always make to much because I want to make sure I have enough, because I heard that you should make the color all in one batch to make sure it matches.

SO.........

My question is, how long do you save your colored icing? I don't use milk or anything in my BC that will go bad so I usually leave it out on the counter. Do y'all think I should put it in the frigerater even though it does not have milk?

HELP!!!!! I don't want to waste it!!!! but I don't make cakes all the time!!!! usaribbon.gif

It keeps for a while. I leave mine in the fridge for a very long time. Maybe a month. I do not use either. I have never had a problem

Yes, you might need to give it a quick stir. Make sure it's in an airtight container, and you can even leave it on the counter!

I use the buttercream dream recipe, and it seems like when I leave it on the counter for a week it starts to get a greasy look. It seems to still taste OK, but it sure does not look OK!! usaribbon.gif
