icon_redface.gif i have zero experience with fondant - i have used buttercream foreverr. Can i add fondant decorations to buttercream? Will it stick to the sides of a cake good enough? icon_redface.gificon_redface.gif

You can use fondant decor on buttercream cakes. If your BC recipe is crusting, use a dab of water on the back of the fondant piece before adhering to your BC. If non-crusting, the fondant piece will stick to the BC.

Just a warning though. If it is warm your buttercream my start to soften and your decorations may start to slide....It has been so hot lately! I made a fondant cake the other day and was worried that the fondant was going to melt!
