this is my first time having someone pick up a cake. they are picking it up this afternoon for a party tomorrow.

It is chocolate cake with bav cream (made with pudding) filling and buttercream icing.

Should I write something for the persons information like, refridgerate overnight, please drive on a flat surface. I am SO nervous

If you're going to be home, tell them the things you would do in transporting it and storing it.

I have the same speech for everyone before they come to get it. Must have level place to put the cake while transporting (no your backseat is not level), nothing in the area that will fall on the cake box, must drive carefully, avoid quick turns or stops and 2 hands on the cake when carrying. If the cake needs to be refrigerated, I'll tell them about finding a place to put it before they have it otherwise it is fine to be left on a cool counter.

Also make sure that you are NOT responsible for the cake once it leaves the house!
If it falls apart due to lack of care, then that is there loss, not yours!
Heck, I would write somethign up and make them sign off on it and keep a copy for your records.
