Making Monkeys With Royal Icing

how can I make monkeys out of royal icing. I want to put them on a palm tree cake like in the new yearbook

See if the new yearbook has instructions. My guess is that you'd get the pictures of the monkeys you want, lay the pics under waxed paper, and trace over them with the royls ... like the FBCTs. Let them dry for a few days.

They use melted candy melts but you could use royal icing just fine i think.
