With all of the stores already putting out there Halloween decorations icon_eek.gificon_mad.gif, I feel like I should start making Halloween cookies! if I start selling Halloween cookies, do you think I could put a label on them stating "best eaten within 7 days, if not freeze". Or something along those lines. As you can see, I am not very good with wording things. TIA.

I would wait. Stores do that for layaway and to get you in the buying mood. I think it is a little early for cookies.

How about making a few samples and taking pics. I also make a few, wrap them in shrinkwrap and then place them in a plastic box to show. Helps with orders, b/c people can see the finished product and I'm not left with a bunch of extra cookies to eat icon_biggrin.gif

They keep forever.

if I shrink wrap the No-fail" cookies, will last a while?

They should. I use a roll-out cookie with royal icing or cookie glaze. My grandmother had kept some for about 5 years that I made her in a cookie bouquet before they got broke. Looked just as pretty as the day I gave them to her.

Just a tip...if you shrink wrap the cookies they will stay fresh for about 2 1/2-3 weeks. If you freeze them they stay fresh for about 3 months (properly wrapped of course).

I put on my cookies;

...use no preservatives in our cookies, therefore our cookies will remain delicious for up to 2 weeks in the orginal package or up to 3 months in the freezer.

I say 2 weeks because I firmly believe in the under promise over deliver adage.

Good luck.
