Toba's can lose its shine. I'm not sure what, if anything, can be done to keep the shine that it has in the beginning. Maybe someone else will have an answer.
I wanted to tell you how pretty your cookies are!
I've never used Tobas- but could you add some corn syrup?? Cute cookies!! Love the tennis racket!
Your cookies are very cute! I use royal icing with some corn syrup added to help keep the shine. It seems to work.

I have added a touch of glycerin to royal icing to enhance shine. I'm not sure if that would work, but you might try it. I use Toba's icing and just LOVE it! Darling cookies, BTW!!
I've never used Toba's, but I thought I've read that drying it under a light or a lamp makes it shiny?
Tkeys, I''ve not heard of that, but I'll be making a big batch of cookies for the 4th next week. I'll give it a try both ways and let ya know.
hi, your cookies are great,I love the colors I have a great recipe for cookies, but the recipe I have for royal icing just does not dried enough not to get squishy when i try to cover them can anyone help with a recipe that dry's quicker then 5 hours?
