I am planning to do some kind of 'bug' cake for my son's 5th birthday. I was thinking of doing like a sheet cake and putting on different kinds of bugs, I know I can go buy little plastic bugs to put on it but thought it would be nicer to have them 'made', whether out of icing or fondant. I do want it to look fun, not disgusting if that makes sense. If you guys have any tips you could give me on how to 'make' bugs? Bees, mosquito's, beetles, lady bugs, dragon flies, butterflies, etc... your help is greatly appreciated.
