Ok I have a bride that wants like.... aqua colored drizzle on her wedding cake. How do I do that? use wilton candymelts and color to match or what?
thought about just white chocolate but tell me what you think?
I'll try to attatch the QUICK sketch we did.

Also she has chosen Dasies and Lilies for the flowers

OOPS SORRY FOR THE DOUBLE PIC POST. Still learning attatchments I guess.

Wilton has blue chocolate candy melts you can use. I did this for a Nemo cake for my nephews birthday. I tried doing it like "ganache" mixed it with heavy cream. it was very watery even after sitting for hours and being fridge. GL
i can't wait to see your cake! it looks like a fabulous design.

I'm concerned about the color.(Love the cake by the way)
Is the color Aqua? or is it blue? the cake will be 12- 8 & 6 " with the top needing color to not just the sides. and I always like making one batch so I can make sure all the color is even.

Wilton does make candy colors -- but you can use the wilton gel colors also (or so I've been told) so you should be able to get whatever color you want. The candy melts blue is more like a baby blue color.

Hope this helps. Can't wait to see your finished product!!

If you're going to try regular paste color, I'd try coloring a small amount of the candy melts first. I've heard that you have to add something else to the paste color so it won't seize the candy melts, but I can't remember what it is. Some people say they don't have a problem with it, others do.

The easiest thing to do would be to use the pre-dyed melts, just get blue, green, and white ones, then you can add green to the blue to get aqua (it won't take much) and add white if it's too dark. If you want to experiment with a small batch, keep track of the # of melts used of each color, then you can easily multiply it to easily make a larger batch. You might be able to make additional batches and get the color to match too, but I don't know if that would work for sure or not, there might be color variations across bags of melts. It should be very close in color though.

Sorry, was writing my post while you posted.
Yup, adding a little green will make aqua. It shouldn't take much (though I guess it depends on how green you want it).

Well the colored melts sound like the way to go. Is there any way to do it with just white chocolate and ganach and paste color?? Anyone know.
I mean white chocolate isn't really chocolate
