I am making a cake for a 1 yr olds b day. Anyone want to share a recipe for cake and filling?? Not sure of what I want kind of cake I want to make.

For my son's first b-day I made a banana flavored cake because he loves bananas! A favorite among kids as far as the filling is cookies and cream. I think it goes well with chocolate cake. The recipe for c&c is listed in the recipes section. If you haven't tried it I would absolutely recommend White Almond Sour Cream (also in recipes section). The texture, density, and flavor is really great and you can pair it with so many fillings.

You can use all vanilla flavoring if you don't like almond.
