Ok so I make a square cake and covered it with fondant--looks all right since I have never covered a square cake. I want to put a fondant rope around the bottom--how do I do it?

Make 2 long sausages the same thickness and intertwine them. I usually marble my fondant for the ropes, it looks so attractive.
