This is a silly question and im sure it has already been posted but i wanted to know if anyone knew how to cover the cake base with what looks like fabric. I have seen many cakes with this cover at the base and it looks beautiful. I would greatly appreciate the help.

I think you may be thinking of the puff bases for cakes. Earlene Moore makes them for all her cakes and she sells the instructions for them on her web site. www.earlenescakes.com
