I have a 325 watt "Artisan" KA and I just bought one from a lady today that she had for 6 months. It doesn't have a handle on the bowl and it says that it's 275 watts and a "Classic Plus". What is the difference? Is there really that much difference in power? I turned them both on and can't really tell much of a difference other than the newer one whining a bit more high pitched... hmmm... can't wait to use them though icon_smile.gif

The bowl size may be different. The wattage difference you will notice when making really thick things like MMF. When I am mixing my mmf, my mixer (250 watt) has only one speed once the mmf is thick.

If I'm not mistaken the bowl is 1/2 quart smaller, I had a classic for several years and they're 4.5 quarts and I think the plus just has a bigger motor.

Big difference in some types. I had a Heavy Duty and had to return it because it practically stopped when mixing my cookie doughm or royal icing. So much for heavy dugy. Got a Pro 600 and it mixes my dough with no problems.
