I have posted a favorite cookie recipe and see it has 5 stars already, so someone must like them as much as we do in our family. This is a recipe given to me by my sister inlaw about 50 years ago. All of my children and grandchildren request these. They are a little time consuming in prep time, but they go together quickly once baked and they are so worth the extra effort. The glaze is from the original recipe, but if you want to try something extra decadent, over the top delicious, glaze the cookie with Sarah Bernhardt Chocolate Glaze. The cookies are called
Chocolate Marshmallow Drops. And here is the Sarah Bernhardt glaze too.

Shirley, could the cookie be made without the walnuts in it or would it just not be the same? (my son is allergic to all tree/ground nuts)
