Hi there,

First of all I have to excuse for my english but I just moved to the US...

I loved to bake and I love this page. Here's my first question - hope you can give me some advice.

I have to make a 1/2 sheet cake and the customer would like a yellow cake. Usually I make the WASC Cake because it's so good. Do you think I can use the yellow cake mix like the white one? Or has the white one a better consistency than the yellow one?

Thanks a lot icon_rolleyes.gif

Your english is fine! thumbs_up.gif You should be able to use the yellow cake mix just like the white without any problems.

Hi,

Welcome to the US and to CakeCentral!!! Your English is just fine.

I agree, you should be just fine with yellow cake instead of white.

Good luck!

Hi and Welcome, Schabenmaul. icon_smile.gif

There have been a lot of threads recently about sheet cake sizing. What size is a 1/2 sheet (12x1icon_cool.gif.

Here's info on sheet pan sizes, how to cut, how much batter to use, etc.:
