Has anyone ever done an Ice-Cream Wedding Cake? I received an inquiry about one yesterday. I have never done one myself and can't begin to think how to charge for one. I'm guessing this would have to be done as satelite cakes with minimal decorations. I searched the gallery and didn't find anything to refer to. Give me your opinions! Thanks
Is that possible ? since the cake will sit on the cake table for hours ?
Esp. now that it is summer time ? unless it is a very small and informal wedding where the cake will be served straight from the freezer.
try it. ![]()
I've never heard of an ice cream wedding cake before ... I'd hope it'd be served in the winter time when it's really cold! lol
I saw one once on a wedding show. It looked like they had bought them from a local ice cream shop. It was stacked but it was not put out until litterally a minute before it was served... If it was me I would not do it as a tiered. If they really insisted I would suggest a small dummy and just do icecream cakes that are just to be served and not displayed. But in my experience of doing these. They melt pretty quickly.
