thanks to all you ladies I attempted cookies once again - you all inspire me so!

Had a summertime get together with family and was asked to bring dessert (go figure I'm the only one in the family that does dessert) -- had seen orange slice and lime slice cookies at Starbucks and thought "Hey! I can do that!" So with the help of the No Fails and Antoina74's icing I created the cookies you see below....I added orange candy flavor to the orange icing and lemon candy flavor to the yellow icing so when you bit into the cookies it tasted like it looked -- quite the hit!

Thanks for looking..

P.S. I am adding the summertime trifle that I took with me as well -- the layers consist of lemonade cake (use frozen lemonade concentrate instead of water for cake mix), fresh whipped cream, and vanilla pudding -- topped with white chocolate chips and yellow sprinkles!

Did you mix the pudding and the whipped cream or just layer it? Gotta try this one!

msauer....you don't mix any of the trifle ingredients together you just layer one after another -- I always layer as follows -- cake, pudding, whip cream, cake, pudding, whip cream....etc. until you are done...enjoy!
