I made my first batch of mmf-yea!! It felt alot like making bread dough to me. But I am not sure that I put in enough p.sugar to make it stiff enough to make things with- do you add more as you create, or does it set up as it gets cold? I want to just play with this batch, see what I can make, and maybe make some golf tees and balls to add around the sides of my cake for tomorrow...I saw that in the photo gallery. I was going to make the trees, but I saw that most used the ice cream cone/bc technique. Any suggestions for me to try to make first??
This is so much fun!! icon_smile.gif

welcome to the wonderful world of fondant! I like adding a little gumpaste to mine if I'm making anything 3D. But, the sky's the limit you can mold it into just about anything. I started with flowers, fruit and cute little bugs.

I did play with it a bit yesterday, but it seemed a bit too soft, when I made something it drooped. I tried adding powdered sugar, but it didn't seem to help, and I wasn't sure that that was the right thing to do anyways. I do plan on purchasing some, to compare, and do some more playing. Thank you for the links!

I definitely would try adding some gumpaste to your MMF. I finally did and it made so much difference! The flowers I made actually got firm enough to handle easily after they sat for awhile!

Sometimes it helps to have some support inside the figures - use spaghetti, wadded up foil, etc.
