I made some cute little baby booties just practicing (with my new cutters) but don't have a cake to put them on yet. How long can I save them? How do I store them? (If I can save them for awhile.)

You can store them in an airtight container for however long you want. I've stored fondant stuff w/ gumtex for over 6 months. They would've been okay for a lot longer, i think.

I have a turkey and a scarecrow that were made out of fondant that are 3 or 4 years old now and they look mostly the same. Your colors may fade alittle or it will look more dull with age, but other than that they look just like the day I made them. They have been stored in a cake box.

The pieces should last forever, as long as they are kept in a cool, dry enviroment. There are people that will store pieces in a glass case or in their curio cabinets.

You want to keep it out of direct sunlight as that will also cause fading.
