Does it have to be shaped like Barney? If not, you could do an frozen buttercream transfer or a chocolate transfer of Barney on the cake.
If you need to carve it in the shape, you can enlarge a picture of Barney to the size cake you want, cut it out and use it as a template to carve the cake.
Good Luck!

I have used a colouring in picture and just enlarged it. When doing the carving, I would either freeze or refridgerate the cake first. I will make it easier to cut through the cake. Also, do a crumb coat of icing once the cake is carved.

Here's a cake I did a million years ago (or it just seems like it!). I just enlarged an image, made a template, and trimmed the cake around it. Not technically sculpted, but more interesting than a sheet cake.

This is lovely. Thanks a million. How can I achieve this using fondant. I am completely at a loss when it comes to royal icing and buttercream.
