Cookies In Icing???

if i put oreo or chocolate chip cookies in my icing and put it between layers, will it make the cookies soggy if its not going to be cut until the next day?

I don't know about the buttercream but I did put them in whipped cream and it went fine, yes it will become more soft but tasted great!!

I tried this recently with oreos. YUMMY!! The cookies softened up, as the absorb some of the liquid from the icing but they weren't soggy. Since they do absorb some of the liquid from your icing I'd start with a softer icing or add a little more water to it. After it sits the icing will get dry and if you don't have enough water to begin with it could get crumbly.

I had a similar experience. I like the softened oreos and would do it again. They still some texture to them.
