I can't get the right color pink! I need my fondant to be hot pink and it's more of a rose pink. I am running on three hours of sleep form the cake I did last night. Someone please save me form my frustation, I don't think my family could take another night of it. Thanks in advance!
A tiny bit if purple or violet added to your pink will make it hotter - or even a bit of blue if you haven't got these colours.
Not that I want to send you out and about when you're already running on so little energy, but there are neon colored food colors (McCormick I believe) in local grocery stores here (hopefully where you are too). I suppose that would be a last ditch effort, but at least you have the guarantee of not having to do it over. I did make a neon blue this week by adding an awful lot of blue food coloring and then adding a little yellow to it, which makes me think that the other replies on this site may work. Good luck! Thank you for hearing my cry for help, the pink does look better but not exactally what I wanted, who knows maybe the color doesn't exist . I'm just glad it's over!! Maybe after all this graduation buisness I can upload my pics of the cake. Thanks again.
