I am making a cake with real bananas in the middle. It needs to be ready for tomorrow afternoon. Can I put the bananas in the middle tonight and leave it in the refridgerater till then? Will it still be good or should I do the whole thing tomorrow morning?

Bananas brown really fast. The standard shelf life of a product with sliced bananas in it is 1 day. It must be kept in the fridge. Toss your bananas slices with lemon, lime, or pineapple juice, making sure they are coated all over with the juice. The vitamin c in the juice will help slow the browning. This will help you get the full 24 hours out of those suckers.
