I did my first solo-covering of a cake with fondant last night for my Wilton Course (done them before when my grandfather was teaching me) and my dh took it to work today. And now he's telling me they all think it's pretty but ''they don't understand why they can't eat the fondant''. mind you, i used the wilton kind, just to learn with....

and i told him ''they can, it just tastes awful.''

so we'll see what happens.

They'll figure it out, and then you can say I told you so!

oh yes, taste buds are different. I had a client to actually say they like the fondant. Go figure! icon_razz.gif

Fondant is very yummy....just not Wilton fondant. LOL! Don't turn them off to it, just say that's your practice fondant and 'real' cakes will have edible fondant. icon_smile.gif
