Ok, so I wanted to order some fondx to try...( I usually use Satin Ice ), when I go to websites such as CalJava, they have fondant, including colors, but the pails that it comes in are brown with fancy lettering ( you can't read the label because of the angles of the pics ). But all of the pails of Fondx that are have seen are just plain white with not-so-fancy pink lettering. Are the brown pails Fondx too? It doesn't list the brand. Acually I have seen the brown pail fondant on a few websites and it never specifies the brand. If it isn't Fondx...does anyone know what brand it is? Thanks!
i just got my samples of fondx in hte mail. fondx doesn't come in chocolate, it is just fondx, and they sell in multiple colors. the people who make fondx also make chocolate fondants, they come in white chocolate, dark chocolate, white choc rasp, and i think caramel. here is the link:

click on estores to see all the colors and sizes and flavors. its was a little confusing at first. but the samples i have taste wonderful! i love it! the dark chocolate tastes like a tootsie roll.
I agree with beccakelly! I received a couple samples, and the dark chocolate is delicious=) I gave the little bag to my dd to try, and only had a 1/4 left when I got it back, lol=) Jen
Here is Fondx Virgin White 10 lbs. from CalJava (Cakevisions)

And here is the same from Pfeil And Holing

I see what you mean, there is an extra lable in a beige color from CalJava. Can't enlarge it enough to tell what the difference is, unless that bottom lable is just a listing of ingredients. All I can tell you is I have ordered from both companies and the Fondx seemed the same smell and texture to me.
Difference in price is good except for the fact that P&F has a minimum order requirement. I generally order from CalJava for that reason, plus they are in California so the shipping is less for me.
When looking at Pfeil & Holing's site, I saw Satin Ice Gum Paste. Does anyone know if this is any good? I love Satin Ice & I love Fondx, but this is the first time I have seen Satin Ice gum paste.
That's the gumpaste I use! I love using it.
The brown and white labels are Sweet Inspiration chocolate fondants. I don't if SI makes FondX, if FondX makes SI, or if they're unrelated. I just know that Pheil & Holing, CalJava, and CocoaOutlet use the same photos and descriptions of these products.
As for Satin Ice Gum Paste--I have some, but haven't used it yet. I had a hard time finding it, too. I was told by a cake shop owner that it is essentially Satin Ice Fondant with one of the routine drying gums used--gum trag, gum tex, CMC, etc.-- added to it. The implication was that you could use the fondant, add one of the above, and make a nice gum paste, if you couldn't find it for yourself.
