I just covered my first fondant cake yesterday and couldn't believe how easy it was compared to what I was expecting! The only downside was that I ended up temporarily dying my hands red because I was under the impression that after the color was worked in it wouldn't stain...the blue didn't, just the red. Lesson learned.

Anyway, I am wanting to make this cake my avatar but can't seem to figure out how to get it down to 6 KB. The smallest I've managed so far is 38 KB. The pixel size isn't a problem, I've got that under control. Can anyone help me or guide me on how to change the KB size? I know many of you have pics of your cakes in your avatar so someone out there must know how to do it! Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

Congrats! When I used fondant for the first time, I was expecting it to be harder. It was actually pretty easy! I am excited to try some other things now thumbs_up.gif

I did my first fondant cake last night and was dreading it. It was sooooo easy! LoL. And everyone always tells me they hate covering square cakes with fondant worse than circle cakes.

If you have an option to "save for the net", that'll allow you to mess with the image quality so you can get it sized to post without having it microscopically small. I use photoshop elements.
