Hi ladies.
Im working on my final cake for course III and wanted to know what you girls use for your leaves. As far as coloring goes? I dont want it to be lime green and I tend to get the brighter colors when I color my buttercream icing.

thanks
Tiffeny

Americolor and Wilton has one called leaf green. I use americolor leaft green and it is pretty close to a good leaf color.

I'm doing the same thing right now, course 3 final! I like moss green for my leaves.

Blessings!

I like juniper green, but you have to be careful not to use too much, it can get way too dark.

Good luck,

Jenny

I like the Wilson Moss or Juniper. They are more of a subdued color than the bright green you get with the Leaf Green.

I've been using americolor avocado for my bc leaves. I like the paler shade. However, I used leaf green on my course III final and I liked the way it turned out.

I just finished my course 1 finale cake and I used the leaf green. I did not like the bright neon color it came out. I tried to add a bit of the Juniper and it turned out avocado-ey. LOL. I used it anyway. I think next time if I'm looking for a darker more realistic color I will try the Juniper first. HTH! icon_biggrin.gif

I like Wilton's Moss Green or Juniper Green, as well as Americolor's Forest Green. icon_smile.gif
