My First Kitchenaid Stand Mixer....it's So Red And Pretty!!!

I am so Happy, I just got my Kitchenaid stand mixer and I have been making those double batches of BC....it's wonderful!! thumbs_up.gif

I have a question though.......I want to make some MMF....will my KA handle that OK? Should I use the dough hook or the paddle? Can I add color right in the mixer, or will the color stain the attachments?

P.S. I got it on Ebay at a GREAT deal $147 plus $29.95 shipping...I thought it was good! 5 qt. red artisan. icon_biggrin.gif

Congratulations Connie!! My sister has a red one and I love it love it love it!! I use the paddle attachment until about half the powdered sugar is added, then switch to the dough hook. It just seems to mix better for me that way. I don't have a problem making the MMF in my kitchenaid at all. I have colored the batch dark blue and all without any discoloration to my accessories.
