Have you tried going to the gallery and searching for 'horse shoe' or something else that your grandfather is interested in? I always seems to find inspiration in looking at the cakes of others.

Here goes one..... do a FBCT of a rocking chair with a big red circle and line across it... you can caption it "Not ready for the rocking chair yet! Happy Birthday Grandpa!"

Maybe you can make the horse shoe cake.. Ice in white and add some sort of flowers or just rose buds in the color he likes.. And Put it on a full sheet cardboard.. And the U shaped cake will be used as the word "you" and at the bottom write "U" are an inspiration.. Happy Birthday Grandpa!.. Good Luck!
