I know it's been asked before.. but I stink at searching the forums.. I am looking for instructions for building/stacking a topsy turvy cake. I understand the whole cutting out the well method.. but I know you can do it without cutting into the tier below it. If anyone would like to point me in the general direction of figuring it out I would be ever so greatful.. I'm off to do more internet searching.. but I figured I would ask the experts here.

This is the tutorial for the topsy turvy with carved cake from CC: http://www.cakecentral.com/article1-Instructions-For-Building-A-Whimsical-Tilted-Cake.html

Here is a link to Colette's way (scroll to page 9): http://media.wiley.com/product_data/excerpt/20/04712146/0471214620.pdf

Yes I saw that, but I am interested in the method where you don't have to cut into the tiers.. the How-To article here shows the method where you cute the tier below to make a "bowl" for the tier above. Thanks for responding!! icon_biggrin.gif

Ooooh thanks miriel.. that's exactly what I was looking for.. the Collette site. It's pretty much how I thought it would be with the central dowel.. but it's nice to see it all sketched out like that.
