Doll Cakes On Seperate Teirs?
Decorating By Blueydbttrfly Updated 2 Aug 2006 , 4:55pm by Blueydbttrfly
I am thinking of doing a doll cake with maybe 2 large dolls and 2 small dolls. My thoughts are to have each doll on a seperate round layer cake on different teir levels. I'm new to this so I may not be discribing it well. What do you think and do you have any ideas and or pictures. It's for my daughter's first birthday on saturday.
thanks

help please
okay....here are the supplies that I have purchased. 2 lg. dolls, 2 sm. dolls, tierra, stage coach w/horses, full sheet board, 2 10" boards, 2 6" boards, fondant, buttercream, 1/2 sheet cake, 2 9" round cakes, 2 6" round cakes, pink, purple, teal, royal blue and yellow colors. I think using all of the props may be a little too much.

Hi Laural,
I just looked at that doll cake and it is beautiful
. That's the kind of thing I'm talking about. But I need to do more, I'll be having about 20-30 people coming to her party...lol.
Thanks
Robin
Could you use the doll cake as the top tier and the tiera on the bottom tier and then if you still needed more cake you could have the two smaller dolls seperate standing next to the tiered cake. Or a simple sheet cake just for cutting, like in some weddings.
Just my two cents. ![]()
Blueydbttrfly,
That cake served about 20 alone for the bottom tier. With the wondermold cake also...you will have your 30 servings!!
Okay here is the design I've decided on...I've already prepared the icing, and today I'm baking the layers and dolls can I freeze them until I ice them on Friday and how should I store them until I put them together on the full sheet board?
Thanks for any help,
Robin
