I want to add a pudding mix to a boxed cake mix.The cake mix takes 2 eggs and 3/4 cup milk. How much extra milk would I have to add and do I need to put in any more eggs?

I don't add any extra milk/water/ or oil. I usually just add one extra egg.

Some say they only add the pudding.

It is a personel preference on the texture you're looking for.

I never add exra liquid or eggs - it makes the cake gummy. Just add your dry pudding (make sure it's instant pudding) and mix the cake according to the directions on the box.
Good luck!

Here is a basic recipe for a white cake with mix

1 box white cake mix ( I use DH)
1 box instant vanilla pudding (3oz)
1/3 cup milk
1/2 cup oil
1 cup sour cream
4 eggs

I don't add anything but the pudding mix, but like leily said... it's a personal preference as to texture. You may want to try just the pudding mix this time and then try adding an extra egg next time or vice versa.

thankyou for all the replies...I'll try just adding the instant pudding and see how the mix is.

thankyou for the white cake recipe, nenufares. I've seen DH mixes only online in a USA food shop in Melbourne...but they are pretty expensive there,$4.58 USD each, then theres postage... icon_cry.gif
We do have betty crocker, white wings and greens brands. I'm sure one of those would be ok to use.
