Hi Merissa!
When I did this, I filled my cans about 3/4 full and had a huge mess on my hands. I would only fill a little over 1/2 full and make sure to use a flower nail.

When I bake in them I do fill them about 3/4 full and set them on a cookie sheet and let them over flow--this way I know that when the cake is baked, I get the full height of the can. I also have not used a flower nail at all. Cooked just fine for me! thumbs_up.gif

Hey - missyek - what about the "lip" on the can? does it get in your way at all or do you have a can opener that takes that off?

Just curious...

How long would you cook it in the can? Are you using a small can or a big can?

TIA
