Do not waste your money ever on CK. brand chocolate butter cream! YUCK! thumbsdown.gif
It has a horrible metallic aftertaste!!!! The vanilla is not too tasty either, but it can mixed with other flavoring to combat that taste. Not the chocolate though!
This has got to be the worst tasting icing I have ever eaten, I spit it out and so did both of my 2 1/2 and 1 1/2 year olds!

Oh I really like the vanilla frosting. I do use it and people seem to love it. not to sweet. I did not mind the choc. either. Maybe you had a bad one or something. I guess everyone has different taste buds....LOL

It is Country Kitchen I think. If they are talking about the one that I have used. They have a web site and I order stuff from them often and have never had a problem. Stuff always comes on time and in good condition. They have lots of cake stuff and other fun kitchen things too.

No it's not country kitchen's brand name, it's just a brand name which is called ck. They make a lot of cake deco stuff.
I can use their vanilla butter cream with added flavors but the chocolate icing was awful to me. I have 2 buckets of it unfortunately! icon_confused.gif
But my 13 year old likes it so I may just have to make cc for aa lot of summer get togethers with her friends and pawn it off on the teenagers. icon_razz.gif
I swear they'll eat anything with sugar!

Country Kitchen is the retail branch of CK Products. CK Products, as I understand it, handles the wholesale business side of things. Basically, CK makes it and Country Kitchen sells it.

I haven't tried the chocolate, but I've used the vanilla in a pinch--not bad.

I haven't tried the chocolate, but I do use their buttercream. I don't mind it and I have never had a complaint. It has a nice almond flavor.

Ive never usef their buttercream but I do have to say, Country Kitchens/CK (both) have the BEST customer service!!! I order through many different companies but CK gets my business whenever possible. On top of great prices and quick reasonable delivery, their customer service is exceptional! If something I have ordered is out of stock or delayed they call you... impressive. I wish all companies provided this level of service (instead of the recorded voice prompts you usually get when all you want is to speak with a live person) oohh, I better not get started on that one! icon_rolleyes.gif

I bought the CK brand at a local supply store.. and I the taste was awful, used it for borders and stuff, but not for icing the whole cake, plus it was
$9.99 for a small small bucket.
Not worth the price.
