I never have to level cakes after i started baking all them at 325 if i gat a small hump it is so small i just push it down while the can is still in the pan.
If you torte a lot of large ( 14 inch and up) cakes it's more than worth the money. It is also invaluable if you are going to make cakes with many layers, ie: dobosh tort.
I love mine. I can't level worth beans, no matter how much I measure and mark. Have the 2 blade agbay and can level and tort at same time. It pays for itself in time saved and cakes not destroyed. The customer service is excellent. Maureen (I think that is her name) is a member here and when I first received mine I asked a question online and she called me right away and left a message on my answering machine in re: to my question. I don't make a ton of cakes but to me it is money well spent. Leaves more time to obsess about other cake related things!
PS: I use it to level and tort all sizes and shapes of cakes.
I LOVE mine! I had the Wilton leveler and after I tore cake after cake, I ordered the Agbay. It glides through the cakes like butter. The customer service is beyond excellent and as Peg818 said, it IS worth every penny.
I'm a new decorator and was wondering what this is? Is it something I should look into since I would eventually like to get into the business? I've seen the Wilton leveler, but never heard of this. Where do you find it? Thanks!
Thanks for the link!
Wow it is expensive, but seems like it would do an awesome job. I'm definately going to keep it in mind for future use (don't think dh would go along with it just yet since I am a newbie, lol).
