Hi everyone, I have a silly question. I work full time and need a cake for Wednesday, my original plan was to make my MMF decorations today, bake the cake tomorrow night, and ice and complete Tuesday. I have already made the decorations as planned and made all of the icing I need but I watched the weather and it's suppose to be over 100 icon_eek.gif the next 2 days here (I don't really want to be running the oven). Can I bake the cake today and wrap it in saran wrap until Tuesday when I decorate it?

Thanks

You could...but are you ANTI-FREEZE when it comes to cakes? I'd freeze mine.

I'm new to this. All other cakes I've done have been for my kids b-day's and I took a day off work to do the whole thing. If I freeze do I pull it out on Tuesday morning so I can decorate after work? Also do I thaw it in the frig or on the counter?

Thanks

I would recommend freezing your cake. I ususally always freeze my cakes because this seems to help lock in the moisture. Just wrap it really well. It does not take long at all to unthaw. Just pull it out of the freezer, unwrap and let thaw on the counter.
