This was my 1st FBCT. It was tons of fun to do, a bit time consuming as I am such a perfectionist. It was scary to press it down and smooth so it came out a little "wormy". I mistakenly froze just the outline (thought it would help keep lines from moving! DUH!!) and it bled into the pink,(geez the stuff thaws quickly!!) when I finished it. The MK director loved it and gave me more than I asked for it! I thought it was a bit thick looking so I piped a star border around it. I think next time I'll do what others have suggested and be sure the FBCT covers the entire top of the cake!! I could've never done this without the great people at CC! YOU are the best for newbies!!

Feel free to use it! The cartoon's name is Darcy and she is available to MK directors so maybe your friend can get you a pic of it. I had to take the pic I got to Staples and get it blown up tp the size you see. Thanks for all the nice remarks!

Your FBCT loks wonderful! I have never done one before either, I wanted to try this past weekend, but when I was going to tape the picture and wax paper to the cutting board i realized I didn't have any tape....BUMMER!!!! I have tape now and I think I might try it Thursday night.

Also, did you use a diferent kind of icing for your outline, or just black buttercream? usaribbon.gif

Again, GREAT JOB! thumbs_up.gif

I used the premade tube of Wilton Decorator icing that you can just stick a tip on. It probably wouldn't have bled if a I hadn't froze just the outline before filling it in. It was thawing and ran into the pink a bit! Read the tutorial here and you'll do great!! It was alot of fun!

You can use dark chocolate fudge icing (from a can) and add a bit of black to it to do your outline. It doesn't bleed as much as Wilton's black or lift off the paper.

Christeena...that looks great!

I live in a small town called Newaygo. I usally tell people that I live in Grand Rapids(I DO work there)because it's a "recognized" city and it saves explaining where Newaygo is located. icon_lol.gif

Yes, thats my cate Abbie. I got her from a Kitty Rescue. She was born in September of last year, so she's only about 10 months old. She is so funny, I have to tell y'all a real quick story.

I got her a new cat toy Saturday, it is a leopard fur covered ball about the size of a golf ball with really long feathers sticking out of it, the package said that it attracks a cats hunting instincts...anyway, I got it out of the package and threw it on the living room floor for her to play with and then went about my business finishing up baking my cakes. A few minutes later I looked back in the living room and it looked like a bird had been slaughtered, there were feathers everywhere and Abbie was laying in the floor in the midst of all of them like a conquerer with the ball laying beside her with only 2 feathers left in it. All I could do was laugh!!! icon_lol.gif

Have a Great Wednesday y'all! usaribbon.gif
