I am in the process of working on my husband's Father's Day Cake. I just had to post my progress ... I am excited to be doing it. It will be a 8inch round cake with a fondant rug draped over the top, then I will be carving a sofa out of cake and covering with fondant. I am then sculpting my husband and my 3 kids out of fandant and he will be reading tothem on the sofa, my 2 girls ages 9 adn 5 will be sittign next to him and my son age 3 will be climbing over the back of the couch trying to see the book (he is a little monkey and has a hard time sitting still LOL) Anyway I finished my fondant husband (just need to add a little color to his face and wait for the book to dry to put in his hands) My kids heads are done I just need to make their bodies tomorrow.
Anyway let me knowwhat you think of my progress so far, I hope it goes over well on Father's day 
That's really great - Do you mind sharing how you did the chair? I made a pretty ugly chair once...lol
o haha, actually that chair is from my daughter's barbies ..... I needed him to be sitting on something so he would dry that way and hold shape for when I transfer him to the couch I plan on making .... I could only dream of having a chair turn out that good.
Well - chair aside...your idea is great and your "husband" looks good too so I'm sure it's going to be a success!!
