Thanks, lmn4881 I have to do a 'peach' cake and was thinking that I'd need to do two in order to accomodate 25 people.

I used the sports ball pan to make a basketball cake for a party of 30. I did the ball itself and then I sat in on an 8 inch round..that was torted. They had plenty for the 30 that came.

Well it says it takes one cake mix, so I would say 12-16.
